Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging
 Mission & Services:

Volunteer Opportunities:

Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging (SAAA) has a continuing need for volunteers!  Without the help of dedicated volunteers, SAAA simply cannot fully accomplish its mission  There are a multitude of unique and specialized volunteer opportunities within SAAA’s many programs.

SAAA needs volunteers of all ages, talents, and interests!  Employees with some time during lunch could help deliver meals to our homebound clients who would just love to meet them!!  Mothers of school age children who have some time while their children are in school might help teach a craft or serve a meal at their local senior center.  Retirees who have some free time and would like to contribute to their community could drive someone to a doctor’s appointment or to grocery shop.We are especially interested in youth and teen volunteers,  because SAAA believes that nurturing the  intergenerational connection between our older neighbors and our youth is one of the most important things we can do!
