Mission & Services:
Since 1986, our mission has been to provide the gift of health to those in need. The Free Medical Clinic of Northern Shenandoah Valley, Inc. is dedicated to the belief that everyone should have access to healthcare services. Our goal is to provide non-emergency primary medical, nursing, dental and pharmacy services, as well as health education to those who do not have health insurance or resources to secure their own care. The FMC serves residents of Winchester City, Frederick County, and Clarke County who need medical care but do not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay for services. The FMC provides the following services:
- Diabetic Management
- Gynecology
- Acute care
- Chronic care
- Acute Dental
- Women's Healthcare
- Behavioral Healthcare
- Nurse Practitioner Daytime Visits
- Referrals to Specialists
- Medication Assistance
- Referrals for lab work and x-rays
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers should be reliable, responsible, discreet, desire to serve others. Some work volunteers will be doing: nursing, interviewing patients to determine if eligible, assisting in pharmacy, and dental assisting.
