Winchester Rescue Mission Minimize

 Organization's MISSION in the community:

The purpose of the Winchester Rescue Mission is to express Christ's love to men in the community by providing food, shelter, spiritual guidance, and vocational instruction, thus enabling them to reclaim a productive role in the community.

SERVICES provided in the community:

30-day Program - The program meets the basic needs of food, showers, shelter and counseling.  The men are allowed to stay for up to 30 days where they check in at 5pm and are given dinner, offered a shower, chapel service and they are encouraged to speak with a leader for encouragement and suggestions for empoyment if they are not already working.

New Life Program - The 4 1/2 month program offers full time room and board and Bible centered classes to encourage men to trust Christ more for their lives and reflect on their current life style, and offer a change of direction. The final course of study is a career focused curriculum teaching basic job skills, how to write a resume and job applications.

Working Man's Program - The program is set up for men who have full time employment but still need assistance in getting back on their feet and assistance in finding their own place to live.  The program offers room and board in a structured environment and assists with finance management.

VOLUNTEER Opportunities:

The Rescue Mission is always recruiting volunteers willing to share Christ's love. Various volunteer positions are available.
