RSVP, Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, is a nationwide program that promotes volunteerism by encouraging everyone to contribute time and talents in service to their communities.  RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service.

The Shenandoah Area RSVP program partners with over 120 volunteer stations (non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organizations) that have registered and listed their current volunteer needs.  Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours per week to help meet critical community needs.

RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice by matching the volunteer's personal interests and skills with volunteer opportunities.  RSVP offers supplemental insurance while on duty, pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where the volunteer is placed.
