Organization's MISSION in the community:  

To provide quality adult day health care for persons with Alzheimer's Disease and for others requiring supervised care.

 

SERVICES provided in the community:

  • Monday through Friday adult day health care, therapeutic and recreational activities planned and implemented by a Board Certified Music Therapist, routine medical monitoring by a registered nurse
  • Education and support services for caregivers and the community
  • Placement site for students

VOLUNTEER Opportunities:   

  • Computer Assistant - program set-up, etc.
  • Activities Assistant - art
  • Pottery Assistant - assist participants to work with the potter's wheel and, who will assume responsibility for firing the pottery with the Center's small kiln (at their own property)
  • Gardeners - (weeders) in aroma therapy garden
  • Clean-up - volunteers willing to clean-up after activities
  • Lunch set-up - volunteers needed to set up lunch (prepared in advance) for 17-20 participants
  • Walkers - volunteers needed to take participants on walks through building and/or out to the aroma therapy garden
